The Ark Foundation is a non-profitable organization Incorporated under Section 21, its registration number is 2007/011412/08 and it is also registered with the Department of Social Development with the registration number being: 059-160-NPO.

We aim to become one of the most capable and progressive organizations contributing towards educational development, poverty alleviation, social and economic development in the Southern African region.
Our long term vision is to marshal resources through conscious endeavor to find lasting solutions to the challenges threatening the lives of the most vulnerable sections of the African society.
Mission:
• To strive for constant and never ending improvement in the lives of the destitute communities in the Southern African region.
• To successfully transform the lifestyles of poor communities through education and skills development.
• To ensure success and continuity in our efforts by remaining accountable and transparent in our activities.
• To devise sustainable educational programmes that will continuously contribute towards improving the lives of young people.
Primary Objectives:
• Making a visible contribution towards the alleviation of poverty, the social and economic growth of our society through educational efforts.
• Inspiring learners and driving them to attain a higher level and improved standard of living in order to achieve a sustainable quality of life.
• Employing and investing new skills, ideas, methods and technique with the ultimate aim of producing self-reliant, resourceful and responsible individuals.

History:
The Ark Foundation was founded in 2007 to bring about social and qualitative changes in the lives of underprivileged communities in the Southern African region. The aim is to contribute towards effective social transformation through the development of education. Our key objective is to provide qualitative educational opportunities to learners from underprivileged communities. Furthermore our secondary goal is to improve the standard of education and infrastructure in the Southern African region.
This organization is driven by the idea of the existence of a socially harmonious lifestyle for all people as well as an equal standard of education and infrastructure. The Ark Foundation believes that education is a vital resource in achieving economic and social development.

The Ark Foundation is an organization that operates on basic principles which are based on basic key values which translate its organizational culture. These values include dignity, honesty, transparency, accountability, and respect for others, human rights and the law.
